Since 2018, KCS have started a partnership with The KM Media Group by supporting the yearly Young Cooks Contest run by them.

The Young Cooks Contest is aimed to encourage young people to pay more attention to their food choices and learn how to prepare tasty and nutritious meals to a budget. The aim is to develop the confidence and abilities of young people to prepare meals to a fixed budget, as well as to increase awareness of healthy options and locally grown produce. Entrants simply prepare one or two dishes - depending on competition category - and upload a photograph of the meal plus recipe details to the Young Cooks website. Youngsters can have help from parents, guardians or teachers in completing the online entry form – while entrants for the Family category can also have the help of an adult to make the food.

KCS is one of the wide ranges of organizations support and judge the event and we are looking forward to supporting the event again in 2019.

KCS proudly sponsored The Swale Volunter Awards 2018 and announced the winners of Volunteering Contribution to Sport 2018. The fifth annual Volunteer Swale Awards celebrated the hard work of some of the borough’s most dedicated volunteers at a gala ceremony earlier this month. Judges had a challenging job to choose the winners in each of the eight categories from almost 80 nominees. More than 80 guests gathered for the celebration, where awards were given in categories including young volunteer, support for the environment and fundraising.

Cllr Andrew Bowles, leader of the council, said:

"We all owe Swale’s volunteers so much for their efforts, and we were delighted to once more highlight the work of some of these unsung heroes through the awards scheme."

Kent Catering Service Ltd is proud to announce its invitation to make a wholehearted donation towards the Canterbury Minylympics event 2017. First organised in 2015 by The King's School Enterprises, Canterbury and Canterbury Christ Church University, the Canterbury Minilympics event is a day based around promoting healthy eating and keeping fit to Year 4 pupils from numerous Primary schools in and around Canterbury. The event includes fun team athletics, field testing, healthy lifestyle and meeting Olympians, with a delicious BBQ lunch included at the Kings School Enterprises’ Birley’s Pavillion site. Now running for its third year in a row, the event has expanded from 65 children from 6 schools taking part in 2015 to 180 children (including those with special needs) taking part."

As a sponsor of the event, our logo amongst other sponsors’ logos will be printed on the event t-shirts given to every child and adult participating. We also have the pleasure to announce that we have been invited to attend the event to give out trophies and certificates.
